Building a Better Future for Cancer Patients
Campaign Update
As of February 2022, UVA Cancer Programs raised $76.1 million in commitments toward our goal of $125 million as part of the University of Virginia’s “Honor the Future” campaign. We are grateful for our generous donors who provide the financial resources needed to discover new treatments, enhance access for underserved communities, recruit world-class clinicians, train the next generation of medical professionals and improve the health of individuals across the Commonwealth.
Many of the contributions in this campaign support cancer research that will lead to novel therapies for this devastating disease. Other funds have been created with endowment and estate gift portions, including the Robert R. Wagner Fellowship Fund. It provides graduate fellowships for students in basic sciences in the School of Medicine. Additionally, the Nancy N. Baudhin Fund supports research, clinical trials, and programs in hematologic malignancies. The Robert Edison and Hermie Tillman Tanner Medical Research Fund delivers general resources and funding for prostate cancer research.
Help transform the future of healthcare by making your gift to UVA Cancer Center or contacting Corley Raileanu, Executive Director, Cancer Programs at 434.243.3480 or corley@virginia.edu.
